Nekolux was established in 1991, in Chicago, as a company with a focus on renewable energy. Its founder, Vladimir Nekola, had been installing and repairing wind turbines in his native country, Argentina, since 1980.

Vladimir has recently decided to devote his time to other endeavors and no longer manages the company. Now renamed as NekoluxSolar, we specialize in stand-alone systems, backup power systems, and renewable energy systems for the US and developing countries. Vladimir Nekola remains associated with NekoluxSolar as a system designer.

Nekolux has designed and installed renewable energy systems in the U.S., Mexico, Nicaragua, and Argentina. We design our systems based on specific client needs. Each system is custom-made and uniquely adapted to its context. Our systems meet Underwriters Laboratory (UL) standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
